In-Depth Graphics lab

MAY 2023        In my first year, I had a period called “the labs.” In this period, we learned different hard skills in the fashion industry. I had one week for each lab, which meant little time and high pressure. Luckily, I perform well under these circumstances.

After completing the regular Graphics Lab, I moved on to the in-depth version. While I technically finished it successfully, I wasn’t happy with the outcome and didn’t feel proud of the final result.
Still, this project taught me a lot. It was one of the first times I realized how much thought goes into designing for print. I learned practical things like how small text can become once printed, how hyphens can disrupt a layout, how to properly use a bleed, and many other InDesign basics I hadn’t mastered yet.

Even though it’s not my strongest work, I think it’s important to show projects like this because the learning curve was real, and it helped lay the foundation for everything that came after.
